Blog # 4-Final Thoughts

The main conflict in my novel is Alaric and Naia think they could be the same person but living different lives. Naia and Alaric find similarities between each others lives. Naia and Alaric then decide to use their follies (time traveler) to meet up with each other to figure out if they have the same photo in their own photo albums. It turns out that they did have the same photo but there was one difference. They both had a picture when they went to a carnival when they were young. In Alaric's photo he is with his dad and in Naia's photo she is with her dad, the difference is Alaric was making a funny face in his photo and Naia was smiling.

Naia and Alaric then meet up with each other at the family tree. Both Naia and Alaric try to convince each other that they are not the same person and they must pull apart from each other. Before they pull apart to go back to their own realities they pick up the wrong bags by accident that had their photo albums. Naia and Alaric were then in the wrong rooms but it quickly faded into their own rooms. Naia and Alaric's bell shaped glass dome time traveler broke. Naia and Alaric were trapped in the wrong life and there is no way back to their own lives because the time traveler broke.

Alaric was in his room thinking how he had to meet his dad's new girlfriend Kate. As he went down the stairs he noticed Naia's mother saying "Alaric there you are my son I was wondering were you went". Meanwhile Naia hears Alaric's father calling for Naia to come and meet Kate. Naia and Alaric realized that they picked up the wrong photo album, she also realized that her mother was dead and Alaric's mother was alive and living her life that she wanted. Naia now had to feel the pain that Alaric had been feeling for two years. Deep down inside when she stood at her mother's grave, she knew her mother was still alive but living with Alaric. Naia and her mother would possibly never see each other again that is what frightened her the most, her and her mother became close after the train crash that almost killed her a few years ago.

My overall impression of the novel A crack in the line was a book full of suspense and mystery. This book was also confusing in the beginning. Towards the end of my book everything made sense. Also at the end of the book it left me hanging because the book ends that Naia and Alaric are trapped in the wrong life, but there is another book!
